ABOUT THE SPIRIT OF OYSTERHAVEN

 

Spirit of Oysterhaven is a beautiful, sleek, 70 ft steel schooner. Built originally as a private yacht for world cruising, she is fitted out in Burma teak with brass fittings in a classic style. A joy to sail - sea kindly, responsive and powerful - her schooner rig and cutter foresails provide every opportunity for getting to know the ropes.

 

Spirit's accommodation is laid out in five cabins, comfortably sleeping eight crew. There are two bathrooms, with hot showers, plus a well equipped galley. Guests can dine in the spacious teak paneled saloon and relax in the evening under the glow of brass oil lamps in a an atmosphere reminiscent of a bygone age.

  • Auxiliary power by a naturally aspirated diesel engine of 89 KW driving a three blade bronze propeller through a reverse/reduction gearbox.
