Enjoy an all round watersports experience with an emphasis on Sailing, Windsurfing and Sea Kayaking.  Participants will discover the thrillls and buzz of sailing, windsurfing and sea kayaking skills in a relaxed and fun environment.  

During the week participants will complete the Irish Sailing Association syllabus for a Taste of Sailing and Get up and Go! windsurfing courses and also learn the paddling strokes and capsize drills necessary for exploring Oysterhaven Bay on an adventurous sea kayaking day trip at the end of the week.

Mulit-Skills Participants also enjoy Splash & Dash on our Fun Pontoons, Jungle Quest, Orienteering and Archery. 

Sailing and Windsurfing logbooks are issued at the start of the course for which official ISA certs will be issued to all successful participants.  This course is an ideal  foundation from which to develop sailing and windsurfing skills, while still retaining the variety and adventure of a multi-activity experience.

Start Sailing (Level 1)

An introductory course where you will quickly learn how to sail a dinghy. Learning how to rig and launch a dinghy, which ropes to pull on at the right time, how to steer the boat up and down wind, tacking and gybing - and of course how to avoid collisons - are all taught as a fun and interactive learning experience. By the end of this course you will be sailing in light wind conditions (with assistance from your instructor if necessary)

Windsurfing Get Up & Go!

You quickly learn the skills to get you going - counterbalance, starting, turning and getting back! Using wide stable boards and lightweight rigs, windsurfing has never been easier or more fun!

Windsurfing Go 4 It!

Feel the thrill of planing across the water ! In stronger winds you will learn to use the harness and footstraps and in lighter winds you will develop freestyle techniques and fine tune your rig.

As you progress through the different skills learning at your own pace and  recording your progress in your personal logbook and you will quickly master the techniques that enable you to tack and gybe in strong winds.

Basic Sailing Skills (Level 2)

This basic skills course enables you to take command of your own boat and apply the five essential rules of sailing that will help you to control your boat better, sail faster and have more fun learning new manoeuvres. Righting a capsized dinghy, picking up a "man overboard" and coming alongside a pontoon are just some of the techniques you will learn on this course.

Improving Sailing Skills

Advance your sailing skills during this action packed week ! Feel the thrill of sailing in a range of wind conditions, roll tacking, gybing and learning to sail your boat backwards or without a rudder ! By the end of this course you will have mastered a range of skills to handle your boat competently.

Sailing Kites & Wires 1

Feel the thrill of hiking out on a trapeze or flying downwind under spinnaker! You will learn how to rig, fly, gybe and trim spinnakers and use a trapeze in a range of wind conditions. Dinghies : RS Feva & Omega.

Adventure Sailing 1

An exciting week developing your skills and knowledge to undertake longer sailing trips - Passage Planning and navigation, predicting tides and anchoring and interpreting the weather forecast are some of the elements you will put to practise on day sails, culminating in an overnight camp. A prerequisite course for future Instructor training.

Sailing Kites & Wires 2

This advanced course in spinnaker and trapeze use is suitable for candidates who are at the level of, or have already completed, Kites and Wires 1. A prerequisite course for future instructor training.

Adventure Sailing 2

For the aspiring cruising sailor this course develops the skills and knowledge learned in Adventure 1. Undertaking extended trips, using your knowledge and judgement to make decisions in a range of circumstances, you will develop the experience and self confidence needed in order to become an independent sailor.
