Our team of professional instructors will guide you on a structured pathway towards the possibility of gaining an Instructor Award over a 2-3 year period. Training takes place over the weekends in autumn and spring, together with intensive training over Easter. You will be mentored in the ‘soft’ skills necessary for instructing, such as leadership, group control and effective communication, as well as gaining pre-requisite skills for Instructor courses such as First Aid, Powerboat, and Safeguarding qualifications. You will also be invited to gain work experience with us during the summer months, practicing your skills under the supervision of professional instructors.

The Panel is geared towards those going into Transition Year who meet the qualifying criteria. As this is an Instructor training programme it is important that all applicants have a foundation level in either sailing or windsurfing before applying.

Join a fun, active and sociable club environment in which you will learn a range of valuable skills and may go on to gain an Irish Sailing instructor qualification in Dinghy Sailing or Windsurfing.
